Welcome to the Pain Free for Life podcast. In this episode, Dr. Rob Vanbergen talks with Karden Rabin, a mind-body practitioner and co-founder of Chronic Fatigue School. Karden specializes in helping people recover from chronic pain and chronic illness that is rooted in nervous system regulation. Karden Discusses his mother’s battle with chronic back pain after an injury that eventually led to her death due to complications with prescription medication for her chronic back pain. Karden then dives into his own struggle with lower back pain and how he discovered the use of nervous system regulation to help with his back pain. Karden discusses that the brain and the nervous system are the only organs that can actually process pain. The brain is continually making choices on what pain we feel and the intensity to which we feel that pain. Dr. Rob and Karden go on to talk about how trauma and attachment injuries significantly increase your predisposition to chronic pain.
