This is a true account of a patient who harnessed the power of microcurrent and found profound relief from Crohn’s disease after suffering for over ten years. We have changed the name and details of this patient to respect her privacy.
Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease or IBD. Currently, there is no known cure for Crohn’s disease, but natural therapies like microcurrent can significantly reduce its symptoms and even trigger long-term remission.
Meet Janice
Janice is an active and loving grandmother who enjoys spending time with her family, attending social events and shopping. Like many of us, she didn’t realize how good she had it until chronic illness struck. Roughly ten years ago, Janice was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. From that moment on, the trajectory of Janice’s life looked much different than she had ever imagined.
What is Crohn’s Disease?
If you’ve lived with Crohn’s, you know all too well how challenging this disease can be. But for those who haven’t, we’ll briefly explain the symptoms, causes, and challenges Crohn’s presents.
Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD, caused by inflammation of your digestive tract. Crohn’s is a painful and debilitating disease and can lead to the development of life-threatening complications.
The exact cause of Crohn’s is unknown, but scientists believe a combination of factors like genetics, your immune system, and the environment play a role. It’s important to note that as many as 20% of people living with Crohn’s disease have a blood relative who has IBD, or inflammatory bowel disease.
Crohn’s symptoms are painful, disruptive, and often embarrassing for the sufferer.
Crohn’s disease symptoms include:
- Frequent recurring diarrhea
- Rectal bleeding
- Unexplained weight loss
- Fever
- Abdominal pain and cramping
- Fatigue and a feeling of low energy
- Reduced appetite
- Inflammation of skin, eyes, and joints
- Inflammation of the liver or bile ducts
Conventional Crohn’s Treatments Failed Janice
The standard treatment regimen for Crohn’s disease involves long-term use of corticosteroids to reduce inflammation in the digestive tract. The goal of steroid use in this conventional treatment method is to reduce the frequency of flareups and diarrhea, giving the patient a better quality of life.
As we noted in our blog, steroids work by minimizing immune system response. Patients that have been prescribed steroids often report side effects like vomiting, loss of appetite, sweating, nausea, trouble sleeping, allergic reaction, and acne. These side effects are especially troubling for someone who is already experiencing the digestive distress of Crohn’s. Prolonged use of corticosteroids can trigger further health complications such as osteoporosis and diabetes.
While steroids had provided Janice with some increased quality of life, the early stages of osteoporosis started setting in. According to Mayo Clinic, the longer you take prednisone, your risk for developing osteoporosis increases significantly.
It was time to evaluate if the relief the steroids Janice was taking were worth the side effects, and she decided they weren’t.
When Crohn’s Symptoms interfere with Daily Life
Janice was becoming frustrated because she had to miss family events and social gatherings due to fear of a Crohn’s flareup. After suffering and worrying for over ten years, Janice finally put her foot down and decided “enough is enough.” That’s when she reached out to us at Pain Free For Life.
It was time to seek out a more long-term solution than prescription steroids. Janice felt hopeful and excited at the prospect of finally finding relief.
Distance Healing to the Rescue
In this day and age, we are continually seeking out new and innovative ways to help those in need. The treatment of Crohn’s is no different. Janice reached out to us for a complimentary consultation and got the ball rolling on her path to healing. After speaking with Janice, we decided to guide her through addressing her Crohn’s symptoms remotely in the comfort of her own home.
Our Natural Approach to Treating Crohn’s Disease
As Janice was one of our distance patients, we conducted her consultations over Zoom and the telephone to craft a treatment plan. We planned to check-in regularly and to adjust the regimen as we went along, monitoring her results all along the way.
There have been many advancements in the treatment of Crohn’s disease, microcurrent therapy being one of them. Because microcurrent is so successful in treating Crohn’s, we created a treatment plan for Janice that incorporated the Avazzia Life Evolution.
Janice’s Personalized Microcurrent Treatment Plan
The main goal of Janice’s microcurrent treatment was to reduce the inflammation in her digestive tract that was causing her flareups. This was to be achieved by performing the vagus nerve stimulation protocol each day. Janice would also conduct digestive painting protocols daily to reduce the presence of active zones and help her body repair itself.
We set off on the journey to healing with Janice feeling confident that she would begin to see results quickly.
A Bump in The Road
Early in her treatment, we checked in with Janice to see how she was progressing, and she reported that she didn’t see the results she had hoped for.
Healing is all about finding what is right for your body. And as with any treatment plan, progress should be monitored and considered before proceeding. We took this bump in the road as an opportunity to stop and evaluate what was working and what wasn’t.
After asking Janice some in-depth questions about her health history, we identified that she had a C-section scar that we were unaware of. It was time to pivot and find a new way to achieve the results we knew were possible.
A Quick Turn Around
In microcurrent therapy, addressing scar tissue is key to resolution. This missed information set us back a bit, but we were confident it could be worked around.
The Vagus Nerve Treatments were helping, but the painting was not clearing active zones on the digestive tract as we had hoped. Once we were made aware of the scar, we immediately adjusted the plan to neutralize the scar tissue and allow proper flow of microcurrent to her digestive tract. The very next day, Janice was able to clear the active zones on her abdomen with success!
Finally, progress was achieved; each day presented a new opportunity for healing.
Life-Changing Results
In less than a month, the results came flooding in! After suffering for over ten years, Janice finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. With the C-Section scar cleared, Janice found that her treatment was starting to make a significant impact on the quality and enjoyment of her life.
No longer reliant on prednisone, Janice’s Crohn’s management now involves conducting vagus nerve stimulation twice per day and working on the abdomen only once per week.
Now that Janice no longer fears a flareup in public, she is planning on attending her granddaughter’s 7th birthday party next week – and is finally starting to get her life back.
